In This Week’s All Souls Bulletin

Food Pantry Need of the Week: Tuna. Last Week: 175 items were donated with a retail value of $533. Thank you!

The SVDP Truck is Coming! We’ll be collecting clothing, small appliances and more when the St. Vincent de Paul truck comes to All Souls the weekend of August 24 and 25 (before and after every Mass).

Save the Date: Our 6th Annual Friends of the Poor Walk is coming on Saturday, September 28 at Fort Mellon Park. We’ll be walking along the Riverwalk in downtown Sanford beginning at 9 am. See you there!

Vincentian Reflection: In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells the parable about the rich man who selfishly stored all his grain and goods only to die and not enjoy his abundance anyway. What we struggle all our lives to learn is that life does not consist of possessions nor our perceived security, but of being possessed by God. This week, as you make donations to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul to help the struggling poor, ask for the grace to be truly “possessed by God”.
