Living for Christ
As someone who writes novels, I know I can’t let my fiction be as strange as fact. No one would believe it. Just as, I assume, no one would have believed that one day the lives of the head of the apostles, Peter, and the zealous Pharisee who diligently persecuted the apostolic Church, Paul, would be celebrated on the same feast.
But here we are. And, perhaps, they aren’t that different. Peter knew Jesus well, betrayed Him, repented, and was forgiven. Paul hunted down and persecuted Christians, miraculously met Christ, and was transformed. Then each lived his life, and gave his life, for Christ. No matter how we come to Jesus today, or how He comes to us, He can change us, too. If we let Him. If we live for Him. Today.
Prayer: Lord, help me truly live for You today.
