Judy wished everyone a very blessed Christmas.
She met with Catholic Charities on 12 December and reported on the Federal Funding and how it’s being divided up.
Judy congratulated Anne Merrill on being the Volunteer of the Year for Chase Bank SE Region. Good job, Anne!
Please read Chapter 4 in your book for discussion at our next member meeting.
We received a thank you letter from Pinecrest Elementary School for our Bags of Care.
We also received a thank you letter from SVDP National Office for our donation to the Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief.

SACSON- Trace asked to be removed as President, but Doreen and Judy W are still participating. They are trying to have the next IDIGNITY in January, but no definite date yet. They are planning a forum with Families in Transition in March. Stay tuned for more info.
Young Vincentians: Susan Loso reported the members collected $155 at the Church Yard Sale Bake Sale. They had a volunteer event at Harvest Time International on December 8 and also caroled and hosted a Christmas event for the nursing home residents in Orange city on December 15. Their next meeting will be on January 26, 2013.
Scholarship Committee: Anne Merrill advised there will be a meeting at her house on January 10, 2013 at 7pm to discuss the upcoming scholarship event.
SVDP Executive Director Report- January 12, 2013 is the first quarterly meeting at St. Andrews. January 26 is a MANDATORY Ozanam training for all. January 8 will be a mock orientation at the Apopka store. Please let Trace know if you can attend. Our new thrift store in Longwood is coming along. The store manager will be Juan Alvarez. The tentative opening date is January 2, 2013. Please let Trace or Juan know if you can come out and help set up the store and work thereafter. They are currently taking donations. The Parish Council did approve a clothing drop box on the property of the new Church by the dumpster. Our next truck for donations will be the weekend of Feb 26/27, 2013.
Wash Day- Next event is January 09, 2013. Mary, Kevin, and Dominick will work it.
Pantry- Ellie reported the pantry is well stocked and the Red Bags are making quite a difference. We have recently received $1648 in merchandise thanks to Nations Law Firm, the Spanish Prayer Group, and church donations.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Party on December 7th. Thanks to all who participated and attended!
There is a mandatory Ozanam Training for All Souls on January 26, 2013. Mark your calendars!
Angel Tree wrapping party December 20 at 5;3pm at the Social Hall. Distribution of gifts will be December 22 from 9am- 3pm at the White House.
Doreen reported The Spanish Prayer Group donated their Novena proceeds and canned goods to SVDP in the amount of $175.97. Will send out thank you letter.
Judy reported that Richard Lugering has had a successful kidney transplant. Keep him in your prayers for a swift recovery. Will Olsen having surgery on January 11, praying for him as well.
