Vincentian Reflection: Jesus was born during the night of the year when darkness is the longest. The Savior of the world comes for the people in dark places. The real, lasting and deep joy is that the Light shines there. That is why we can say to each other, “Merry Christmas!” This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to bring the light of Jesus into the dark places of the poor, by assisting several families with food, as well as assistance with utility and rent bills. Thanks for helping those who are poor to be able to say “Merry Christmas!”
